Queen Mother NAANA LOMOKIE LOMO I of Ada East has praised Cabeza Network for launching a nationwide tree planting campaign, describing it as a visionary step toward environmental sustainability.
The campaign, dubbed the 10K Plant Initiative, was officially launched in Ada East and aims to plant 10,000 trees across Ghana. The colorful launch ceremony drew traditional leaders from across the region, including sub-chiefs, queen mothers, and other dignitaries, who came together in support of the project.
“This is a bold and forward-thinking initiative,” said Queen Mother Naana Lomokie Lomo I. “The environment is our shared responsibility, and I commend Cabeza Network for taking leadership in this cause. Starting from Ada East is an honor, and we are committed to seeing this succeed.”
The 10K Plant Initiative is designed as a nationwide effort, with upcoming phases set to benefit regions such as the Central, Ashanti, and Eastern regions. Cabeza Network aims to not only increase green cover but also raise awareness about climate action and community-led environmental protection.
According to organizers, collaboration with traditional rulers and local authorities is central to the project’s success, ensuring grassroots involvement and long-term impact.
With the trees now being planted in Ada East, Ghana takes a significant step toward a greener, healthier future rooted in unity, tradition, and action.
