GHANAIAN ARTISTS TO SHINE AT OLYMPICS 2024 GAMES

The Olympics are set to spotlight Ghanaian talent, with a lineup of Ghanaian artists scheduled to perform in the African zone. A representative from the French Embassy shared this exciting news during a recent press conference.

“I am also happy to inform you that on the 10th of August, it will be a full day dedicated to Ghana. Many Ghanaian artists such as Sarkodie, King Promise, and Darko Vibes will perform on the day,” the representative announced.

This year’s Olympics Opening Ceremony will be unique. For the first time ever, the opening ceremony, directed by Thomas Jolly, will not be held inside an Olympic Stadium. Instead, it will be broadcast to 80 giant screens in public areas.

Earlier this month, Dj Mensah, Sarkodie’s DJ, mentioned on Asaase radio that Sarkodie would be performing at the Olympics in France. However, he later clarified that Sarkodie will perform at an event near the Paris Olympics venue, not during the opening ceremony as he said during the interview. However, it has now been confirmed as he performs at the African fan zone of the Olympics 2024 in Paris.

This event will be a significant moment for African artists and a chance for them to showcase their talent on a global stage. The inclusion of Sarkodie, King Promise, and Darko Vibes highlights the rich musical culture of Ghana and the broader African continent.
