In an interview on HitzFM, D-Cryme was asked why musicians often switch from one genre to another. He explained that understanding the business aspect of music is crucial.
“It is not bad if a musician switches from rap to singing. It is just the study of your game. If I am paid to perform at a wedding, I cannot go to the wedding to perform rap music. To show my tongue-twisting prowess. I will have to sing the songs that got me invited to the event. Sing the songs the people can relate with,” he said.

D-Cryme shared these insights while promoting his new EP, “UNEXPECTED |||,” which he released as a birthday gift for his fans on July 19, 2024. He mentioned that he invested a lot of time and effort into this project. The three-track EP showcases his best work, with expert touches to ensure high quality.
