Irene Logan: A Voice of Grace, Power, and Purpose

Irene Elizabeth Grace Logan, born on February 16, 1984, in Monrovia, Liberia, is a celebrated Liberian-Ghanaian singer, songwriter, philanthropist, and entrepreneur whose life story embodies resilience, talent, and purpose. From humble beginnings to gracing some of Africa’s biggest stages, Irene has become a household name across the continent and a beacon of hope for many.

Early Life and Education

Born to Tina Logan, a teacher and gospel singer, and Thomas Logan, an accountant and musician, Irene’s journey was shaped by both tragedy and triumph. She lost her father at just two months old and, during the First Liberian Civil War, she and her mother fled to Ghana in search of safety.

Settling in Accra, Irene pursued her education at Achimota School, where she studied literature, history, and music. Her passion for performance saw her represent the school at national competitions, sing with the choir, and contribute to the Writers and Debaters Club. Later, she enrolled at Zenith University College to study marketing but left to follow her undeniable calling, music.
