Beryl Agyekum-Ayaaba – The Visionary Behind Echo House Ghana
Beryl Agyekum-Ayaaba stands as one of Ghana’s most dynamic young business leaders and a trailblazer in the digital marketing and creative industry. As the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Echo House Ghana Limited, she has redefined how brands connect with young audiences through storytelling, lifestyle experiences, and innovative campaigns.
Born in Accra, Beryl’s journey into entrepreneurship began long before her name became synonymous with creativity and brand influence. She studied Civil Engineering at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), where she obtained her MSc. But while pursuing engineering, she discovered her deeper passion – telling stories that bring brands to life. In 2008, she co-founded Echo Magazine, a student-centered lifestyle magazine on campus. That bold step laid the foundation for what would eventually evolve into Echo House Ghana Limited in 2013 – now a powerhouse creative agency that continues to transform Ghana’s marketing landscape.
Under her leadership, Echo House has partnered with leading global and local brands including Smirnoff, Vodafone Ghana, GNPC, Guinness, Unilever, KFC, Access Bank, Samsung, ECG, Philips, and many others. Beyond corporate branding, Beryl has made an indelible mark on Ghana’s entertainment industry by championing platforms that give opportunities to musicians and creatives. Lifestyle and music events such as Tidal Rave and Epilogo have become cultural highlights, bridging the gap between brands and vibrant youth communities.
Her remarkable achievements have earned her national and international recognition. In 2019, she was named among the Top 50 Young CEOs in Ghana by YCEO & Avance Media. A year later, she won the Young Achiever’s Award (Female Category) at the prestigious 5th EMY Africa Awards. In March 2021, she was celebrated as one of the 30 Most Influential Women in Music during the 3Music Awards Women’s Brunch. Her growing influence was further acknowledged in 2022 when Avance Media and the Young CEO Awards highlighted her outstanding leadership in business.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Beryl is also family-oriented. She is married to Bright Ayaaba, the Chief Operating Officer of Echo House, and together they share not only their business journey but also their family life, raising their child with pride and purpose.
