In a recent exclusive interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM, renowned reggae and dancehall artiste, Ras Kuuku has made a striking claim.

He asserted that he is the only artiste in the history of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (now Telecel Ghana Music Awards) to have successfully popularized the scheme worldwide.

Ras Kuuku attributed this achievement to his win as the Best Reggae and Dancehall Artiste of the Year, which he leveraged to tour the world and showcase his award.

Through his efforts, he claims to have significantly raised awareness about the awards and put Ghanaian music on the global market.

The interview was part of his promotional tour for his brand new project, “Road of Evil” Album, which was released on May 23, 2024.

The album, produced by CaskeysOnit and BozyBeat, features 10 tracks that tackle social and personal themes, including struggles and challenges faced in society.

While this statement may spark debate, Ras Kuuku’s contribution to the Ghanaian music industry is undeniable.

His passion and dedication have inspired a new generation of artistes, and his legacy continues to shape the industry.
