OB Amponsah Sweeps Awards at 2025 Ghana Comedy Awards

Ghana’s comedy powerhouse, OB Amponsah, emerged as winner for Stand-Up comedian of the year, and his show at the Bukom Boxing Arena emerged as “Comedy Special of the year” for the just ended 2025 Ghana Comedy Awards, cementing his place as one of the nation’s leading comedic voices.

His special, which marked a decade of his contribution to the comedy scene, was hailed by critics and fans alike for its creativity, humor, and emotional resonance.

OB’s influence in comedy extends beyond the stage. The radio show he co-hosts with fellow comedian Lekzy Decomic and a team of other humorists on 3FM 92.7; THE WMT SHOW also picked up the award for Radio Comedy Show of the Year, highlighting his versatility and wide-reaching impact in Ghanaian entertainment.
