Ghanaian comedian OB Amponsah has officially advanced to Round 2 of The Ultimate Comic Challenge, a prestigious comedy competition hosted by The Idiot Box Comedy Club in Greensboro, North Carolina. The event, part of the annual North Carolina Comedy Festival, showcases emerging and established talent from across the country.
OB Amponsah delivered a standout performance during the preliminary round, earning a coveted spot in the next phase of the competition alongside fellow comedians Eman Martinez, Megan Gruber, Dawn Shirk, Prithika Manivannan, and Dejahzh Hedrick.
Known for his sharp observational humor and international perspective, Amponsah has become one of Africa’s rising comedy exports, having performed on major stages both locally and internationally. His participation in the Ultimate Comic Challenge marks another milestone in his expanding U.S. presence.
