He decried the disappointing financial state of Creative professionals in the country and promised to set up a Film Village that will have all the resources and equipments needed for Creative productions at a very low cost.

He also said his administration will establish a special fund for the aged in the Creative Arts so that old and retired musicians, actors and other Creatives will have a financial bed to cushion them in their old age.

The NDC Leader also promised to provide a Television channel on the Digital Terrestrial Television Network sole dedicated to events organised by and in the Creative Arts industry.

He said this special channel, when created, will stream entertainment events like music concerts and award programmes live and anyone who wants to watch will have to pay via digital means to get access to the event.

According to Mr. Mahama, the channel will serve as a source of income generation for the industry. The channel will be America’s BET channel version in Ghana.
