Multi-talented Ghanaian film maker, Kobi Rana is ready to premiere this year’s edition of his Valentines Day special. He calls this one Girl Talk.
The choreographer has been on several media platforms to promote the new classic production. He had enough to say in a chat with Zeal Nana Kweku Bliss on Class FM’s Class Xtra on Saturday, February, 2024.
The Girl Talk movie, which is scheduled to be premiered on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at various venues across the country is one to blow the minds. Kobi Rana has been able to serve his fans on each valentine’s day for the past nine years. It has become sort of a part of the celebration of the special day in Ghana. You don’t need to be a movie freak to love this awesome project.
The multi-talented is also a script writer, film producer, director, musician, music producer, actor, choreographer, among other undisclosed professions. He is an integral also part of Dance Awards Ghana, which seeks to reward and promote hardworking Ghanaian dancers.
Kobi Rana, since the dissolution of the music group, Rana, has released a lot of classic songs. These include Vawulence, Momo Love ft Fameye, Na Lie and everybody’s favorite ‘Thank You To My Ex’. His new release, Baakowa, which is also called ‘No Gree For Anybody’ is gradually gaining grounds in the social media trends.
The producer of the famous ‘Freedom and Justice’ movie that came with a lot of controversies prior to its premiere always digs deep to come up with movies that bring life experiences and true situations to bear. He has also produced a number of movies for other occasions. Insha Allah, Till Deaf Do Us Part, Baby Is Coming, My Name Is Ramadan and Happily Ever After are few notable products from the renowned producer.
The ‘Girl Talk’ movie is one that cannot be missed for anything. It seeks to uncover the relevant but abnormal happening in our daily activities. Viewers are expected to see bits of action, comedy, suspense, unpredictabilities as it is the hallmark of Kobi Rana to have some touch of creativity from all angles in his production. He has proven beyond reasonable doubt that his movies are produced not only for entertainment purposes. They also serve as a great means of education.
Starring in this beautiful movie includes Kelvin Bruun of YOLO TV series, Kalybos, Roselyn Ngisah, KY, King Nature, Kobi Rana himself, media personalities Adwoa Addy, Kukua Doxa and many other fantastic actors. Ghanaian Reggae/Dancehall artiste, AK Songstress showed some great acting.
Girl Talk will be premiered at 7:00pm, 9:00pm and 11:00pm prompt. The selected venues for the premiere include GH Media School at Achimota in Accra, SG Mall and Royal View Cinema in Kumasi, Vienna City in Tema, Crown Liberty Hotel in Weija, Bernard Grills and Kanvilla in Tamale, Chesville Hotel in Sunyani and Tarkoradi Technical University campus. Kobi Rana is one of the movie producers who is doing so much for the relatively dormant Ghanaian movie industry. His level of consistency and perfection is something that is visible. This might probably be a motivating factor to the hard work Ghanaians have enjoyed over the years.
