Renowned comic actor, Too Much Pampii, born Ibrahim Iddris, has revealed the reason behind his inability to promote his musical talent despite his prominence in the entertainment space.
The multi-talented actor had an interesting uncovering conversation with Zeal Nana Kweku Bliss on Class Xtra on Saturday, May 18, 2024 as the actor goes all out on the musical aspect of the talents he has been blessed with.
According to Too Much Pampii, he grew up with the dream of becoming a musician. He went through all the necessary steps and training just to see the manifestation of this beautiful adventure, which unfortunately failed. He spoke about the struggles of his life up until he made a breakthrough in his maiden onscreen appearance in the comic television series, Junka Town.
The actor revealed that acting was never in his plans as the creation of the Junka Town series commenced with a willpower and not through a professional path. He recollected how the Boys Kasa series produced by KOFAS Media, starring Kalybos and Ahuofe Patricia, sparked some conversations amongst the pioneers ofJunka Town television series, which was shot in Sekondi-Tarkoradi.
The result of creative ideas is the beautiful projects that shot Too Much Pampii and other cast members to fame. The surprising fact is that the series is said to have been shot with a Samsung Galaxy smartphone. After getting the fame through Junka Town, he has gone on to feature in other Ghanaian television series as well as popular feature films.
Too Much Pampii released his ‘Carry Go’ song with Medikal some four years ago, which was supposed to usher his music career to music lovers. Speaking on his failure to capitalize on that opportunity, the celebrated actor revealed how his management tried to use his fame as a point of contact for his music project. The frustrating situation pushed him to give up on his musical journey again.
Recently, Too Much released another beautiful song, which got almost everyone who heard the song astonished at how musically creative and talented the actor is. He has finally given in to push his crafts and has promised to release a body of work on his next birthday later this year.
The musical talent of Too Much Pampiii can not be doubted as he has shown some good rap, singing, and the Dancehall aspects of himself, which are above par. Despite having songs like iPhone 7 and Tears of Joy out there, his latest song, Ghetto Christian, is doing the magi for him.
Hopefully, Too Much Pampii gets the necessary listenership, hence, a realization of his long-term dreams of being a professional musician.
