Mr. Drew believes that his hit Track “Case Remix” made more impact than all the other tracks in the Best Collaboration category. He felt that he truly deserved the award and was surprised when he didn’t win. Mr. Drew was nominated in four categories: Best Collaboration of the Year, Popular Song of the Year, Best Afrobeat/Pop Artiste of the Year, and Best Afrobeat Song of the Year. Unfortunately, he didn’t take any awards home, but he especially wished to win the Best Collaboration of the Year, which he felt he truly deserved.
Speaking to Jay Foley on the Culture Daily show, Mr. Drew shared that while he didn’t complain much about not winning, he agreed that every nominee had a chance. Despite this, he assured his fans that he would continue to create and deliver great music.
Mr. Drew is a top-notch music performer and entertainer. He has proudly represented Ghana on various platforms both within and outside Africa. His musical talent, combined with his great dance skills, makes him a highly sought-after entertainer.
The TGMA (TELECELGhana Music Awards) took place on June 1, 2024. As always, the awards night was filled with glamour and entertainment. The TGMA is the major music award in Ghana and aims to reward the hard work of various musicians and industry players. Although not everyone will be satisfied with the outcomes, the award scheme has consistently delivered on its mission over the years.
