Revered Ghanaian singer and rapper Martin Kofi King Arthur, also known as Kofi Kinaata, has announced his readiness to campaign for a political party in the upcoming 2024 General Elections.
The exquisite songwriter, who is currently in the media space to create awareness of his upcoming Extended Playlist was on a phone-in interview on Class Xtra with Zeal Nana Kweku Bliss on Saturday, April 27, 2024 to throw more lights on his upcoming project, titled Kofi Oo Kofi.
Ghanaian celebrities, who have toned the political lanes, have received some backlash from fans, especially when they help the political parties to gain political power and ignore the plight of the ordinary citizens. We have seen the likes of Diana Asamoah, Samini, Prince David Osei, Agya Koo, Sarkodie, and a few others who have faced the wrath of their followers, especially, on social media.
The Enterprise Life ambassador gained prominence after some training and management under Samini’s Hgh Grade Family. He is known for his lyrical dexterity and interesting rap prowess before he had his breakthrough song, ‘The Crusade’, which features one of his best friends in the music industry, Donzy Chaka, followed by the song that diversified his audience ‘Susuka’ in the year 2015.
For someone like Kofi Kinaata, who has grown his brand to become attractive and admirable to all music lovers to stick out his neck for a political party, it is obviously something that is going to his management team busy with explanations to defend this political stance. He has a brand that is free from controversies and is only focused on his musical talent and his usual comical antics on social media, which his fans will expect him to stick to.
The Kofi Oo Kofi EP, a seven-track collection, which has no features is will be available on all digital stores by Friday, May 10, 2024. Songs on the EP include Auntie Ama,Abonsam, Saman, I Don’t Care, Take Away, Effiekuma Broken Heart, which is already out, and a surprise package. Ghanaian music lovers and fans of the Fante singer are eager to have a taste of the EP. Hopefully, this project can help elevate Kofi Kinaata’s career onto the global scene.
