I Am Not Gingered About Guinness Book Of Records – Lyrical Joe

Skilled Ghanaian rapper, Joseph Gamor, known professionally as Lyrical Joe has revealed his concerns about the financial gains of the Guinness Book Of Records.

The remarkable musician opened up on his displeasure of the receipt of just a citation for breaking a world record. He was in an interview with Zeal Nana Kweku Bliss on the maiden edition of the Class FM’s Class Xtra on Saturday, February 3, 2024 as part of the promotional project for his new song, Enter.

The crazy attention to the Guinness book of Records was awakened when Nana Afua Asantewaa made her intention to break the record for the longest singing performance made by a single vocalist. She sang for a whooping 126 hours, 52 minutes. Failatu Abdul Razak also came through with the Cook-a-thon, where she cooked 156 meals in 227 hours.

Despite not rejecting the probability of him filing for the Guinness Book Of Records with the number of words he puts in his songs looking his yearly project, 5th August, he doesn’t feel enthused about embarkion such a journey. When asked if we may one day see him venture that space, the rapper said “When I put my 5th August together, I can do rap-a-thon. But, the Guinness World Record, I am not gingered about it because they don’t give anything. But, it wouldn’t have been bad at all”. The 5th August releases from the highly rated rapper has an average of six minutes of hotly served rap lines with a lot of diversity in styles and flow.

The tongue twister entered the year 2024 with one of the instantly impactful songs, Enter, which features Ghanaian vocalist Kuami Eugene. He revealed that the collaboration with the Lynx signee was supposed to be a remix of one of his songs, but Kuami suggested a a new song with a new vibe would make a better impact. That is how this beautiful song was created.

Lyrical Joe was one of the budding rappers at that time that got featured on Sarkodie’s Biibiba along with the likes of Tulenkey, Frequency, Kofi Mole, Toy Boi, CJ Biggerman, Yeyo, 2Fyngers, Frequency, Obkay and Amerado. The young rapper has since grown to become one to mention when you talk about rap in Ghana having the likes of Sarkodie, Medikal and even Amerado. He had some give and take beef songs with rapper Amerado.

As a rapper who grew up listening to the likes of Lil Wayne, Eminem, Nas, Jay Z and other great rappers, his niche in the music game is unsurprising. This has significantly shaped his musical talent. He assured the fans of an all-round deliveries this year despite being in the banger space. He affirmed to the listeners of Class Xtra that he has more hit singles and collaborations as well as more Bar Codes in stock for them.

The Betrayal hit maker, who comfortably flows in the Hip Hop, Afrobeat and Rap genres, commenced his musical journey in 2011, where he participated in X-Factor. The musical competition was one of the best reality shows in Africa at the moment. He was crowned the Rapper of the Year in the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards in 2021 after beating the likes of Sarkodie, Medikal, Strongman and Amerado to win the prestigious award.
