P-Square, the famous African music duo, has split again. In a recent interview with City FM, Paul Okoye revealed the sad news. When asked if “P-Square is good right now,” Paul replied that they are not. He explained that Peter, his twin brother, said he was no longer interested in being part of the group.
Paul was reluctant to share many details about their disagreement. However, he mentioned that they had creative differences about their music. “He sent me a message that he was no longer interested. He told me to my face that he wants to quit,” Paul said, confirming the split.
Paul also revealed that Peter wanted to keep the split a secret. Peter’s request made Paul uncomfortable. He felt that if he started his solo career again, people would think he was the bad person. “When I go solo, they will call me a bad person. That’s why I need to start speaking so the fans can know what’s going on,” Paul explained.
The award-winning twins first split in 2017. They got back together in 2021 with a big concert in Lagos. At the concert, they apologized to their fans for the breakup and promised to stay together. They even released new songs, “Jaiye” and “Find Somebody,” and fans were excited as they announced a new album.
