Ghanaian Gospel singer and songwriter Empress Gifty has shown her heartfelt gratitude for their contributions in her recent events, TREC Reloaded.
The ‘Odiyompo’ hitmaker, who released her first project in 2007, pulled out some crazy numbers with her TREC Reloaded event. TREC, which is the abbreviated form of ‘The Resurrection Effect Concert’, is a series of evangelic events spearheaded by the celebrated Gospel singer. The numbers and nature of the event, which was put together in a week, go on to confirm the reason why she is the first Ghanaian Gospel artiste to gain a million followers on Instagram.
The event that took over the whole of Accra was organized by the Empress Ministries on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at the National Theatre in Accra. ACP Kofi Sarpong, Kofi Owusu Peprah, MOG Music, Jack Alolome, Oheneba Clement, Scott Evans among other great performers were on stage to support the great ministry of their very own, Empress Gifty, with some anointing display. The event had a salad of genres of Gospel artistes, which formed a unique atmosphere for the audience.
The multiple award-winning Gospel singer posted a Thanksgiving artwork on her social media pages with the caption “Thank you, Ghana. You showed up just when I needed a shoulder to lean on, and it means so much to me.” TREC Reloaded was really immense and attracted a diverse audience. Empress Nana Ama Mcbrown, Nacee, among other influential stakeholders, were at the National Theatre to support the worthy course.
Surprisingly, it was her second concert within a space of about 7 days. She was faced with some technical challenges beyond the control of organizers with her first event slated for Easter Monday. After just seven days, her team put out something magical, which was the Reloaded edition. The complicated and outrageous task of identifying a new venue, a new date, a new promotional strategy, and cater for extra logistical cost was draining, both in financial and emotional terms.
The previous edition of TREC themed ‘He is Risen’, which was a beautiful experience, took place at the Living Faith Ministries International, Ashaley Botwe, on Monday, April 1, 2024. Some fans and industry personalities were surprised to hear the talks about a Reloaded edition. That particular event took place on Easter Monday at Living Faith Ministries International.
The mother of the Gospel singer brought some emotional moments as she was overwhelmed by pride and could not hold onto her tears of joy during her daughter’s grand entrance to the program. Dressed in a beautiful brown and black gown, Empress Gifty captured the attention of the patrons as she appeared from a transparent glass cage.
Urban Gospelsinger, Scott Evans, was full of praise for the Minister of God with regards to the respect shown to him in the process of his invitation.
“There’s something amazing about this woman when it comes to her love for Young Gospel artiste on her stage and her audience. Amongst all big and A list gospel artist it’s reasonable to say she’s the only A list. Artist who gives her stage for Young seedlings in the Gospel community,correct me if I’m wrong. My story is special and different. Sometimes, whenever there’s an A List Gospel artist event, managers try to get a slot for the talents, and most at times, it ends with rejection, especially with me as an AfroGospel artist.
But this woman of God actually called me said “Scott You are on TREC ooo. I didn’t go to beg or even ask for a slot ooo, she deliberately added me and gave me her stage and audience.. Empress Gifty Adorye, I am eternally thankful and grateful for you and everything you are doing for me and other seedlings.” the honored Gospel singer shared on social media.
The Aseda singer has made a mark with this marvelous event, which is surely a huge success chalked for the Gospel fraternity. With the continued togetherness and support for one another, the limit is surely beyond the sky.
