As the 2024 general elections draw nearer, politicians have come to entice electorates with their various weapons that may aid them in earning their votes. This is just to gain the leadership roles in their constituencies and the country at large.
Natty Ogli, a Ghanaian spoken word artist and musician, has conscientized the general public to be vigilant as they decide on who leads them for the next four years. He hopes that Ghanaians desist from making choices based on gifts and incentives from politicians.

If accountability is sought from these politicians to warrant the trust of the people in the public offices, there might be some improvement in the services rendered to the people of Ghana.
The social activist is currently promoting his latest project, We First, which talks about Ghanaians prioritizing their lives and the development of the country. It seeks to create awareness of the unfortunate situation and disrupt the tradition of politicians showing concerns only to gain political sympathy.
The crafty wordsmith, along with other great Ghanaian poets, has represented Ghana in various African poetry competitions. He blends his craft with some beautiful melodies and hardly leaves the Jamaican Patoi out of his projects. He uses his arts as a revolutionary tool to effect positive changes in the country.
The ‘Mr Politricktian’ singer hopes that Ghanaians can have their motherland at heart before any political affiliations. This will help change the narrative of Ghanaian politicians, mostly doing the needful when election is around the corner. Also, it will make it difficult for the youth to be employed as a tool to disrupt the electoral processes.
Ghanaians should have a mind of their own when it is time for the polls. The political affiliation has failed to create an accountable environment, which could help keep our leaders in check. There is always a topic of corruption in the political world of the country. Nevertheless, we have seen little effort to curb such situations.
