Although he now plays for Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, the Champions League board found it fitting to honor the legend for his immense impact on the tournament’s history. The award was presented by UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin.

His journey began with Sporting CP, followed by memorable stints at Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus.
