Paula Tafa Decker Redefines Resilience Through Creativity and Entrepreneurship
Ghana’s entrepreneurial landscape has found a true gem in Paula Tafa Decker, a creative and resilient businesswoman whose journey is an inspiring testament to courage, reinvention, and excellence. A proud member of the Oxford Africa Women Leadership Institute (OAWLI), Paula continues to break barriers while redefining what it means to be an African woman in business.
Until 2024, Paula flourished as a fashion designer, working passionately despite living with partial hearing loss. However, a devastating chemical accident that year left her completely deaf, forcing her to close her fashion shop as client communication became nearly impossible.
Rather than surrender to circumstance, Paula transformed her challenges into opportunities. From her home, she pioneered the production of eco-friendly, recycled conference bags, a sustainable business model that quickly gained recognition. Her commitment and craftsmanship shone when she successfully delivered nearly 100 branded bags for the Ghana Institute of Procurement and Supply during their national conference.
Today, Paula is not asking for charity, she is calling for partnerships and opportunities. She is disciplined, creative, and dependable, delivering Made-in-Ghana excellence in every project. From branded conference bags and corporate souvenirs to African print bomber jackets, Paula is ready to serve both local and international markets.
Let’s work with Paula, not out of sympathy, but because she delivers unmatched quality, reliability, innovation and championing her entrepreneurial story.
