Eno Barony – Ghana’s Rap Goddess

Born Ruth Eno Adjoa Amankwah Nyame Adom on October 30, 1991, in Tema, Ghana, Eno Barony has risen to become one of Africa’s most powerful voices in rap and hip-hop. Popularly known as the “Rap Goddess”, she is celebrated as the first Ghanaian female rapper to hit a million views on YouTube and has since built a solid reputation as a trailblazer in a male-dominated genre.

Early Life and Education

Eno Barony was born to Reverend Abraham Nyame Adom and Mrs. Rebecca Nyame Adom. She began her early education at Shallom Preparatory School, continued at Cambridge Academy, and completed Junior High at Methodist J.H.S. She then attended Methodist Day Secondary School in Tema before pursuing tertiary studies at Kumasi Polytechnic.

Musical Journey

Eno’s journey into the limelight began with her debut single “Wats Ma Name”, followed by her electrifying remix of Joey B and Sarkodie’s “Tonga” in 2014. The release established her as a fresh and fearless voice in Ghana’s rap scene.
