Preparation:

1. Cooking the TZ:
Bring water to a boil in a pot. Gradually add your millet or maize flour, stirring continuously to avoid lumps. Keep stirring until it becomes thick, stretchy, and smooth. Let it simmer for a few minutes, then mold into balls and set aside.

Boil your meat or fish with spices and onion until tender. Add blended tomatoes, pepper, and dawadawa. When the stew is well-cooked, add the chopped ayoyo leaves. Stir occasionally until the soup thickens and takes on a slightly slimy consistency. Adjust salt and seasoning.
