Album Review: Nanasei MUSIC and GOD
Nanasei’s latest album, MUSIC and GOD, is a deeply personal and spiritually grounded project that fuses soulful melodies, contempory, and raw emotion. With this release, Nanasei does more than entertain—he reflects his unwavering passion for music as a tool of healing and storytelling.
From the first track, on the album which features King Ayisoba and Sax Quito titles ‘ *Africa* ‘ highlights who Africans are. Starting from how our colonial rulers portray us, we are still proud and bold to be Africans. He then again highlights boldly on his part where Africans fight each other and go away from their origin. He boldly state the fact that he has a king on his song makes him an African fully. Notwithstanding, he goes in to talk about his side of Africa he comes from and how the culture there is held in high esteem. The production is clean and intentional, blending live instrumentation with modern sounds that allow both the lyrics and Nanasei’s voice to shine. His vocal delivery is both controlled and heartfelt, capturing moments of reflection, and celebration with authenticity.
Lyrically, the album is rich with inspired lines and heartfelt verses, yet it never feels preachy. Instead, Nanasei invites listeners into his spiritual journey with honesty touching on struggles, redemption, gratitude, and purpose. Songs like *When Heroes Let Down* ” and *Confession* ” stand out for their emotional vulnerability, while tracks like *80s Thug*” and *“Inna Di Yard”* are likely to become favorites for music lovers and live sets alike.
One of the most impressive aspects of this project is its balance. It maintains a consistent theme centered on Life experience and power without sacrificing musicality or emotional range. The arrangements are thoughtfully layered, giving room for introspection on some tracks..
If there’s any critique, it might be that a few songs blend into each other stylistically, making the middle section of the album feel slightly repetitive. However, the sincerity and craftsmanship throughout more than make up for this, and the project finishes strong with a moving finale that leaves listeners feeling both uplifted and introspective.
MUSIC and GOD is a soul-stirring experience for anyone seeking light, hope, and a reminder of love. Nanasei has found his lane, and this project cements his voice as one that deserves to be heard far beyond the walls.
