Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Minister of State for Government Communications, assured civil servants under the Ministry of Information of no layoffs amid restructuring.
President John Dramani Mahama, recently sworn in, initiated changes, sparking fears among workers from the previous administration about job security.

He emphasized the need for restructuring to improve efficiency. The government plans to merge certain authorities into the Ministry of Government Communications.
The Minister noted the Information Services Department employs about 200 people. While no new recruitment will occur, Civil servants will retain their positions until retirement.
