The youth of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Ho Central constituency have set their party office ablaze. This action follows their disappointment over being excluded from President Mahama’s final ministerial nominees list.
Displeased with the government’s decision, the NDC Youth stormed the party office, destroying chairs, documents, and other valuable items. They viewed the omission as a rejection of their efforts to secure a win for the NDC in the constituency.
Fortunately, the Ghana National Fire Service quickly intervened, preventing further damage. Despite this, the angry youth took to the streets, blocking the main road to express their grievances.
Speaking to Adom TV, Mr. Adzanku, the constituency secretary, condemned the youth’s actions. He described their behavior as unnecessary and unlawful, urging them to remain calm and patient.
Mr. Adzanku reassured party members that the final appointment decisions have not been made. He urged the youth to trust the process, emphasizing that not all appointments have been finalized.
The party executives distanced themselves from the incident, calling for calm among supporters. Efforts are underway to identify those responsible for the destruction, with promises of accountability.
As the appointment process continues, the public is encouraged to remain patient. The party seeks to restore order and address the concerns of its members in a lawful manner.
