Dr. Randy Abbey has been appointed as the Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Cocoa Board. This appointment marks a new chapter in his career, following his resignation from the popular television program, the Good Morning Show, after 23 years of dedicated service. Dr. Abbey stepped down from his role in December to focus on new opportunities.
In a message signed by the Secretary to the President, Calistus Mahama, the President of Ghana extended his congratulations to Dr. Randy Nartey Abbey. The President expressed confidence in Dr. Abbey’s ability to lead the Cocoa Board effectively. However, his appointment is pending advice from the Ghana Cocoa Board.
This appointment comes after the resignation of the former CEO, Joseph Boahen Aidoo, which was announced earlier this month. The leadership change is seen as a significant development in the management of Ghana’s cocoa industry, which plays a crucial role in the country’s economy.
Dr. Randy Abbey’s extensive experience and leadership skills are expected to bring positive changes to the Board. His appointment is a well-deserved recognition of his commitment and contribution to Ghana’s media and now, our agricultural sector.
The Cocoa Board and the nation at large look forward to Dr. Abbey’s leadership and the impact he will have on the cocoa industry.
