Celebrated Nigerian comedy skitmaker and actor Brain Jotter has revealed his reactions to the invitation to be part of the ‘U Play Me, I Play U’ project.

The kindhearted comedian was on Class Xtra with some of the cast of the stage play to create awareness for the exquisite play written by the late Efo Kojo Mawugbe which takes place on Friday, November 8, 2024 and Saturday, November 9, 2024 at the National Theatre and the Bukom Boxing Arena, respectively.

According to the African comedian, he had some positive thoughts when introduced to this amazing project. To most Africans, especially Nigerians, Ghana seems more like a second home. They feel comfortable with life in the country and are able to discharge the duties that brought them all the way to the gateway of Africa.

“The only time I get that kind of reaction is when I’m going to India. But, this is Ghana. We’re like brothers. So, I was more excited than nervous. I love the collaboration. ” the skitmaker clarified.

The African Arts Network powered play that is set to touch on survival, friendship, unemployment, identity, national pride, among others will be presented in three shows, yet, at two different venues and two dates. The National Theatre will have two shows; at 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm on Friday, November 8, 2024, and on the next day, the show will be taken to the Bukom Boxing Arena at 7:00 pm.

The project, put together by Efo Kojo Mawugbe and directed by Fiifi Coleman, has the likes of Brain Jotter, Clemento Suarez, Adwoa Orlieans to entertain the audience with their educative, yet lively production. To experience these nights of so much fun, patrons are expected to dial 71333*10# or call 0541234586 for their tickets, which go for GHC 250.00 for VIP and GHC 150.00 for regular.

Brain Jotter has, since arriving in the country, taken advantage of the opportunity of being in the country to do a few skits with some of the Ghanaian comedy skitmakers. He seems to have prepared so well on the mode of penetrating the Ghanaian entertainment space. His insistence of not being aware of Stonebwoy’s Jejereje looks like a strategic plan to gain some traction.

‘U Play Me, I Play U’ brings the talented Nigerian comedy star closer to his excited Ghanaian fans. Hopefully, the team’s trial of the Bukom Boxing Arena becomes viable for the benefit of the industry.
