The prophecy made by Pastor Richard Boateng, popularly known as “I Hear,” of E-Glory Ministries in Kasoa has gained significant attention, especially following recent events. Pastor Boateng, known for his bold and precise prophecies, claimed that a presidential candidate would pass away, along with a prediction that the National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) position would shift from its initial slot on the ballot. Moreover, he hinted at an upcoming misfortune for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) set to unfold in a live video.

Two weeks after the prophecy, on October 29, 2024, the leader of the Ghana Freedom Party passed away, seemingly fulfilling the prophecy.

Ghana has seen a wave of political prophecies recently, especially as the 2024 elections approach. Prophets like Rev. Owusu Bempah, Victor Kusi Boateng, and Nigel Gaisie have also made significant predictions, often invoking themes of divine intervention in Ghana’s political future. Such prophecies stir up a mixture of anticipation and anxiety among the public, with some seeing these predictions as credible and others questioning their influence on Ghana’s democracy.

In previous instances, Pastor Boateng accurately predicted events, including the death of prominent individuals, heightening public interest and debate about the spiritual dimension surrounding Ghanaian politics. This recent prophecy has further fueled discussions about the role and impact of religious figures on public opinion, particularly with predictions related to high-stakes events like elections.

The sudden demise of Akua Donkor has come as a shock to many of her followers and Ghanaians especially has the elections euphoria heightens.

The Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) is a relatively young and distinctive political entity in Ghana’s political landscape, founded by Akua Donkor, a farmer and activist. Since its inception, the GFP has focused on advocating for the needs and rights of grassroots communities, particularly farmers and women. Akua Donkor, known for her bold personality and down-to-earth style, has used her platform to highlight the struggles of marginalized groups, especially in rural areas where farming is the primary livelihood.
