Ace media personality Kwame Okyere Darko, popularly known as KOD, has argued that Daddy Lumba is not a good stage performer. KOD shared his thoughts during a panel discussion on Joy TV. He explained that while some musicians are great at recording hit tracks, they don’t always do well on stage. Although KOD admits that Daddy Lumba is one of Ghana’s finest musicians, he doesn’t think Daddy Lumba excels in live performances.
” Daddy Lumba will not go for rehearsal or even sound check for an event. As a result, he always seems forced to perform rather than making a deliberate effort to give music lovers a good stage performance,” KOD said.
KOD acknowledged Daddy Lumba’s status as one of the greatest musicians in Ghana, with many hit songs and international recognition. However, he believes that stage performance is not Daddy Lumba’s strength.
Daddy Lumba, known for his hit song “Aben Wo Aha,” rose to fame in the early 2000s and has maintained a high standard in his music career ever since. With numerous hits across the globe, he is known as the “melody man” for his soothing and charming voice. Despite the criticism of his live performances, Daddy Lumba remains one of the best musicians in the Ghana Music Industry, influencing many generations with his music.
