Nigerian singer Adekunle Gold has showered praise on Ghana, calling it a country that accepts everyone regardless of their background.
In a recent interview, he shared his experience of struggling to make a name for himself in the music industry until he visited Ghana in 2017.
According to Adekunle, “Ghana accepts everybody, they don’t care about where you come from. I feel like if you are struggling to be heard, go to Ghana.”
He credits the positive energy and welcoming nature of Ghanaians for his success, saying, “The energy in Ghana is so positive, and everyone is welcoming. That’s the place for growth.”
Adekunle’s sentiments are echoed by many Nigerian artists who have also found solace and success in Ghana. In fact, many top Nigerian artists have lived in Ghana at some point in their careers, including Burna Boy, Patoranking , just to mention a few.
Ghana’s reputation as one of the best countries in Africa is well-deserved, and Adekunle’s testimony cements its warm and supportive environment.
