The Ofori Family Wins The Ultimate Prize At Bigoo Family Dance

The grand final of this year’s edition of Bigoo Family Dance, sponsored by Bigoo drinks, came off on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at the Kotobabi Wembley Sports Complex.

The beautiful event, which saw some crazy talent dexterity from the talented choreography groups was televised live on TV3, as well as, streamed live on Instagram, Facebook and X via TV3 Ghana. Chrystal Kwame-Aryee was the MC for the event. The Ofori Family from Newtown emerged as winners for the second edition of the exciting dance tournament dubbed Bigoo Family Dance.

The crafty group of dancers had to beat the likes of the Acheampong Family, the Appiah Family and the Baako family to successful clinch the ultimate prize. The Massive Family, winner of the primary edition also came through with some mind-blowing dance moves to remind patrons of their dominance in the past year.

The diverse story lines, crazy dance moves, the exuberance, their connections with the crowd and energy for their age is out of the world.  Handlers of this competition must be commended for how well they have handled this wonderful initiative.  Fans and neutral patrons were thrilled with exciting and captivating performances.

Celebrated Ghanaian choreographer, Incredible Zigi was on stage to start things off for the grand final. He, as usual, did justice to the beat and got the venue heated up for the main competition. This is surely a motivational factor for the competitors to put out their A-game as they seek to impress the celebrated dancer, although they may have their eyes gazed on the grand prize. Judges for the night were Incredible Zigi, Feli Nuna and Mr Robert Klah.

Controversial Ghanaian rapper, Amerado Burner drew the show to an amazing end. The Kweku Ananse hitmaker brought some great energy to the venue. He got everyone singing along with him as he dropped back-to-back hit songs from his highly decorated repertoire.

The Ghanaian Dance industry must be appreciative of Twellium Industries, the producer of Bigoo soft drinks, for their enormous contributions towards the choreographers in Ghana. Bigoo, which comes in coke, cocktail, orange, coconut, lemon flavors, has been supportive of numerous dance agendas in Ghana. From events such as Diaspora Dance and Arts Day Party, last December to numerous choreographers, in the likes of Incredible Zigy in their personal projects.

The Ofori Family, winners of the competition received a cash prize of GH₵50,000, some Bigoo products and a contract to perform at all media general events, while the first runner up, the Acheampong Family, was also awarded a cash prize of GH₵10,000 with some Bigoo products.

The Bigoo Family Dance, one of the standout productions in Ghana so far, is obviously going to shape up the future of the Dance Industry and the beautiful kids as well. With the support of Ghanaians, they will be able to achieve marvelous.
